Robert Schutte

Robert Orten Schutte, 84, of Brenham, Texas, died July 24, 2004, in Trinity Medical Center in Brenham. Mr. Schutte was born Sept. 23, 1919, in Wharton, Texas, to Robert S. and Minnie Schutte. He earned a bachelor of science degree from Texas A&I in Kingsville and served in the Army Air Force. On June 20, 1942, he was married to Mary Carver. Mr. Schutte was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Tish Schutte of Arlington, Larry and Peggy Schutte of Grapevine and Sammy and Marte Schutte of Katy; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Ronnie Davis of Midlothian; brother, Sidney Schutte of Corsicanna; sister, Bertha Jensen of Bay City; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert S. and Minnie Schutte; Mary Carver Schutte; an infant son, David R. Schutte; a sister, Evelyn Smith; and a grandson, Mason Schutte. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Thursday, July 29 in Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham The funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 31, 2004, in Triska Funeral Home in El Campo.
