Robert Searle, Jr.

Robert Searle, Jr., 65, husband of Sandra Kohring Searle, died December 3, 2016.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 8, 2016 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church of William Penn, with Pastor Mark Moldenhauer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Oaks Chapel.

Robert Searle, Jr. was born December 24, 1950 in Houston to Robert Sr. and Mary Alice Whitmire Searle. A graduate of Fountain Valley High School, he served his country in the U. S. Army during the Viet Nam War. On October 31, 1970, he married Sandra Kohring at Bethlehem Lutheran Church of William Penn.

Robert was employed as a Deputy with the Washington Co. Sheriff's Department for 20 years.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra Searle of Washington; mother, Mary Alice Keller (Bill); son and daughter-in-law, Lance and Tracy Searle of Brenham; grandchildren, Emily and Lucas Searle; brothers Ronald Searle, Edward Searle, and Allen Searle; sister, Rebecca Searle, sisters-in-law Barbara Kohring, Pat Kohring, and Marilyn Klussmann; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Jerry and Doris Kohring, Valgene and Diana Kohring, Danny Kohring, Kathryn and Joe Martinez, Diane and Chuck Boggan, and Rebecca and Ray Wellmann.

Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and one sister.

Serving as pallbearers are Otto Hanak, Gerald Wehring, Marlow Lowery, Mark Kramer, Jay Petrash, Justin Bosse, Mark Whiddon, and Fay Janes Busse.

Honorary pallbearers are members of Washington County Law Enforcement.

Memorials may be directed to Bethlehem Lutheran Church of William Penn.
