Rodrigo Ramirez Sr.

After a long battle with cancer, Rodrigo Ramirez, Sr., 60, of Burton, Tx., better known to his family and friends as Paco, passed away Friday, March 28, 2008. Paco was born June 25, 1947 in Montemorelos, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. He was surrounded by his immediate family in his last moments. Although most people might think he lost his battle with cancer, Paco saw things differently. His favorite saying was that cancer wasn''t going to beat him, because in the end he was taking it with him. He was an extremely strong man who was honest, fair, and good-hearted. The most important thing in his life was his family. He is preceded in death by his sons Jose, Rigoberto, and Rodrigo "Rod" Ramirez, Jr. and great-grandchild, Angel Casas. He is survived by his wife, Delia Ramirez of Burton; daughter Noelia Ramirez of Burton, son and daughter-in-law Tony and Maritza Ramirez of Burton, and daughter and son-in-law Sandy Ramirez and Ever Jimenez of Lexington. Surviving grandchildren are Bobby Garza, Veronica Casas, Carrina Ramirez, Jose Garza, Yolanda Garza, Carissa Ramirez, Alyssa Ramirez, Rodrigo "Rod" Ramirez III, and Angelica Jimenez. Surviving great-grandchildren are CJ, Noelia, and Daniel Casas. The Ramirez family would like to thank all patients and associates of Ram Optical and the staff of Brenham Head Start for their prayers and support. They would also like to thank the many extended family members and friends for their prayers through this difficult time. Visitation will be Monday, March 31, 2008 from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Foehner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Foehner Funeral Home in Burton at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2008. Burial will be in La Bahia Cemetery near Burton. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Foehner Funeral
