Roger Hegemeyer

August 5, 1925 — July 30, 2017

Roger Hegemeyer, 91, of Brenham, died on July 30, 2017 at Scott and White Hospital. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel with Pastor Phil Fenton officiating, Burial will be in the Pilgrim Rest Cemetery in Industry. Visitation with the family will be on Monday, July 31 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Roger was born on August 5, 1925 to Fritz and Frieda (Schroeder) Hegemeyer in Industry TX. Roger was married to Billy Jean McKeown on April 5, 1951 in Welcome Lutheran Church. Roger retired from Woodson Lumber Co. of Brenham as a lumber sales man. He served his country in the 4th Army and was in WWII under General George Patton. He was a member of ST. Pauls Evangelical Lutheran Church of Brenham. He like to play cards and dominoes, he liked to joke around with people. Roger like to look neat and combing his hair.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law; Donald and Faye Hegemeyer of Brenham, grandchildren; Jacqueline Todd, Anita Daniels, Shantrise Maness, Freddie Daniels, and 10 great-grandchhildren. He also leaves to mourn a host of family, friends and strangers. Thank you all and God bless you.

Roger was preceded in death by; his parents, his wife Billy Jean, 1 sister and 1 brother.
