Roger Lee Kerr, 76 of Brenham, Tx, entered his eternal home in Jesus Christ, December 28, 2012, at his home. Roger was born, in Roznov on a farm outside of Warrenton, Tx, in Fayette County. He served his country in the Air Force during the Korean War and was stationed in Iceland as a member of the Iceland Air Defense Force. He was a Senior Aircraft Mechanic. Following his Iceland service, he was stationed in San Antonio, Tx. Roger was a member of The American Legion Post 48 in Brenham, Tx. Roger retired after 24 years at Cameron Iron Works, Cooper Oil, in Houston, Tx, working in oil field equipment. He was like the words of a Keb'' Mo'' song he loved, "just a country boy looking for a home." He found his home in Brenham and at Cowboy Church. Roger loved his God, his family, his church family and his country. Roger is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jo Ann of Brenham, Tx; his daughter and son-in-law Terri and David Dietrich of Broken Arrow, Ok; his son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Kelley Kerr and granddaughter Elliott Reeves Kerr of Fulshear, Tx. He was preceded in death by his Father, Clyde Coleman Kerr; Mother, Eva Mae Bode Kerr; Brother, Bill Kerr; Sister, Toy Wilson and an infant brother. A Celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2012 at 2pm at Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main Street, Brenham, Texas 77833.
