Roland Kokemor

Roland Fred Kokemor, 86, husband of Dolores Kokemor, passed away October 24, 2016 in Brenham.

A private family service will be held Friday morning at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:30 until 7:30 Thursday evening at Memorial Oaks Chapel.

Roland Kokemor was born December 27, 1929 in the Phillipsburg community of Austin County to Fred and Sophie Riechers Kokemor. On October 15, 1950 he was married to Dolores Fay Strangmeyer at St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill. Mr. Kokemor was retired from Germania Insurance after 25 years of service.

Survivors include his wife, Dolores Kokemor of Brenham; son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Sally Kokemor of Leander, Texas; grandchildren: Joel and Shawn Kokemor, and Nathan and Megan Kokemor; great-grandchildren: Kole, Karsyn, Knox, Emery, Amelia and Willa Kokemor. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Delores.

Memorials may be directed to St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill, or to Hospice Brazos Valley.
