Rosa Bentke

Rosa Ida Bentke, 88, of Houston, Texas, passed away November 30, 2023.

Rosie was born to Ida Roesler, April 7, 1935, in Brenham, Texas. She was brought up by Hedwig and Otto Roehling in Gay Hill, Texas. She married Alfred Otto Bentke in 1951, and they lived together in Houston, Texas. Together they raised 1 child, Kathy Ann.

She is survived by her daughter Kathy Bentke Dromgoole and her husband Willie, granddaughter Jennifer Dromgoole Jones and her husband Jonathan, grandson Wayne Dromgoole, and grandson Dustin Dromgoole and his wife Stephanie. She also leaves her great grandchildren LeAnn, Lance, Colton, and Easton.

She was preceded in death by Alfred Otto Bentke, (husband), and Faith Ann, (great granddaughter).

Rosie worked as a customer service representative for CVS Pharmacy for 25 years. She enjoyed working, polka dancing, playing the lottery, and buying things on sale. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and was so very proud of every one of them. She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.

A visitation is scheduled for December 5, 5:00 - 8:00, at Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale, Houston, Texas. A visitation at 10:00 and celebration of her life at 11:00 are scheduled for December 6, at Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St., Brenham, Texas.
