Rosa Lee Maass, 85, of Burton, died on October 29, 2011 at Care Center of Brenham. She is the widower of Louis P. Maass. Funeral arrangements are for Wednesday, November 2, 20 11 at 2 p.m. from the Zion Lutheran Church in Zionsville, with Pastor Karen Nelson officiating, interment will be in the Prairie Lea Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, November 1 from 6-8:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Rosa Lee was born on November 23, 1925 to Henry and Mary Herzog Glaesmann in the Long Point, TX. She was Baptized and Confirmed from the Zion Lutheran Church in Zionsville. Rosa Lee was educated at the Long Point School. On Feb 24, 1946, Rosa Lee married Marvin Lee Renz, then on December 17, 1960, Rosa Lee married Louis Paul Maass. Rosa Lee was a life member of Zion Lutheran Church of Zionsville. She worked for Maddox Furniture Co, Bluebell Creameries, Nats Tiny Tots, and the Home health. She loved her flowers and took care of her yard she enjoyed cooking for the holidays and having her family over for special holidays. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law: Sharon and James Collins of Dime Box, Jo Ann and Vernon Lehde of Houston: son and special friend: Louis Timothy Maass and Linda Kolajajak of Burton, grandchildren: Dana and Jason Kasmiersky; Stephanie and Cody Schulze, Melissa and Justin Biliski, Colton Timothy Maass, great-grandchildren: Katie, Dalton and Wyatt Kasmiersky and Great-great grandchild Hadley Schulze; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Peggy and L.W. Miller of Brenham and numerous nieces and nephews. Her special cat Toby. Rosa Lee was preceded in death by her parents, husbands: Marvin Lee Renz, and Louis Paul Maass, brother and sister-in-law Louis and Annie Glaesmann, Herbert and Nathlie Glaesmann, Erwin and Amanda Glaesmann, sister and brother-in-law: Esther and Calvin Quebe, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Otto and Regina Maass, Thurman and Nevilee Wehmeyer and Elwood Renz. Pallbearers are; Ray Wehmeyer, Darrell Quebe, Herbert Glaesmann, Larry Glaesmann, Charlie Dahmann, and Leslie Kelm. Honorary Pallbearers: Mac Dahmann and Bruce Blackman. Memorial contributions may be directed to: Zion Lutheran Church or Hospice of Brazos Valley.
