Rose Sikorski

August 8, 1924 — July 13, 2017

Rose Marie Sikorski, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, was born August 8, 1924 in Chappell Hill, Texas to Dennis and Helen (Falk) Kaminski.

She went to be with our Lord and Savior on July 13, 2017, at the age of 92.

She was baptized April 30, 1937. She was united in marriage to Thomas J. Sikorski on April 14, 1946.

Survivors include a son, Thomas J. Sikorski, Jr. of Spring; daughters Pat Derkowski and husband Henry of Chappell Hill, and Helen Marshall of The Colony; grandchildren: Shawn Derkowski and wife Carrie, Shelly Derkowski, Brian Derkowski, Wesley Marshall and wife Christy, Matthew Marshall and wife Krystal, Erika Gibson and husband Seth, and Chase Sikorski; great-grandchildren: Austin Derkowski, Brayden Derkowski, Alie Derkowski, Emily Marshall, Bryan Marshall, Jason Marshall, Wyatt Marshall, Tyler Marshall, Madeleine Gibson, and William Gibson.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Thomas; son-in-law, Kenneth Marshall, five brothers and two sisters.

Playing cards, cooking, and fishing were her favorite hobbies. She loved her Polish and country music, and treasured time spent with her family, and her “spoiled”, loving cat companion, “Bubba”. Her strong faith sustained her throughout the years, and she was a faithful member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church until her death. Her love and giving heart will be missed by all who knew her.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Memorial Oaks Chapel.

Serving as pallbearers are Shawn Derkowski, Brian Derkowski, Wesley Marshall, Matthew Marshall, Chase Sikorski, and Michael Kaminski. Austin Derkowski will be honorary pallbearer.

Memorials may be directed to St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
