And we know that all things work together for good... Romans 8:28 The Lord came with strong hands to take her in the night. Ray Bradbury wrote "Everyone must leave something behind when he dies, my grandfather said. A child or a book or a painting or a house or a wall built or a pair of shoes made. Or a garden planted. Something your hand touched in some way... And when people look at that tree or that flower you planted, you''re there. It doesn''t matter what you do, he said, so long as you change something from the way it was before you touched it into something that''s like you after you take your hands away." Rosemarie Else Waltraud Kluge Lichtenberg passed peacefully in her sleep on May 1, 2014 leaving a bountiful garden of evergreens, perennials and spectacular blooms. She was born in Zillerthal-Ertmannsdorf Schlesia Germany to Erich and Maugaurite a great many years ago and had lost them both before she was five. Within a year, her grandparents took her and little else and fled the family home to escape the Russian invasion as the war raged on. Raised with 19th century sensibilities, she grew to be a noble and strong woman with little fear. She married Heinz Lichtenberg in 1962 after a whirlwind romance and followed him across three continents. When he passed in 1998, everyone knew that all would be well in the garden. She invested her entire life with her hands and her heart in our garden. She is survived by her only son, Kai, and no mother loved her son more than she loved him, and two granddaughters, Katrina and Emma, who were the light in her eyes. She was blessed to have so many beautiful caring people on her life''s journey and to live in a place without fear. Pray and let God worry.
