Ruby Kilgore

Ruby Pearl Kilgore, 93, of Brenham, died Dec. 4, 2005, in Trinity Medical Center in Brenham. Mrs. Kilgore was born Sept. 8, 1912, in Albion, Oklahoma, to Walter and Leatha Armstrong Justice. She was a graduate of Drone s Business College in Oklahoma. On Dec. 24, 1936, she was married to Russel Kilgore in Stillwater, Oklahoma. She was a housewife and enjoyed sewing and crocheting. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Lary and Maudine Kilgore of Gallup, New Mexico; her daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Dale Walker of Brenham; nine grandchildren, Kathy and Martin Lewis, Linda Kilgore, Tammie and Lance Kilgore, Russel and Jean Kilgore, Dorie Kilgore, Damita Kilgore, Elysa and Brian Cariota and Karen and Otis Langley; 15 great-grandchildren, Tiffany Castillo, Ryan Castillo, Russel Kilgore, Alainna Kilgore, R.C. Kilgore, Kat Kilgore, Kyle Kilgore, Crystal Kilgore, Alexis Tibbs, Abigail Cariota, Austin Cariota, Jacob Langley, Jordan Langley, Garrett Langley and Karanessa Langley; and three great-great-grandchildren; Other relatives include Lesley and Roy Tucker and Bruce Gruer. She was preceded in death by her son, Don Kilgore; husband, Russel Kilgore; mother, Leatha Justice; and father, Walter Justice. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7 at Brenham Church of Christ with Bob Grigg officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham. The family will receive visitors from 5:30-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Pallbearers will be Jordan Langley, Jacob Langley, Otis Langley, Russel Kilgore, Clint Sells and Brian Cariota. Memorials may be given to Casa Sonrisa Children s Home, P.O. Box 2189, Round Rock, TX 78680-2189. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St., in Brenham.
