Ruby Wallis

Ruby Madlyn Wallis, 87, passed away on March 31, 2003, in The Woodlands, Texas. She was born July 28, 1915, in Iota, Louisiana. She and her deceased husband, William R. Wallis, lived in Houston for many years. She retired from Shell Oil after more than 40 years of service. Upon retirement, she and her husband moved to Brenham, Texas. She was a member of the Brenham Presbyterian Church, the Eastern Star, and the Washington County Heritage Society. She was also a volunteer at Trinity Medical Center in Brenham. Survivors include nephew, Robert Lee Nolan; and nieces, Gloria Harris, Linda Dobbins, Susan Ducchieri and Eloise Gorman. Mrs. Wallis was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Ida Reeves Nolan; two brothers and three sisters. Mrs. Wallis family will receive friends at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham between the hours of 6:30 and 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 2. The funeral will be at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham, Texas on Thursday, April 3 at 10:00 a.m. with interment at Oak Knoll Cemetery in Bellville, Texas. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St., in Brenham.
