Rufus Gross

Rufus Franklin Gross, 69, of Washington, husband of Hattie Fay Gross, died September 11, 2009 at Grimes St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Navasota. Rufus was born on July 4, 1940 in Memphis, TN, to Jack Gross and Sally Mae Morris Gross. He was self employed as a painter for many years. Rufus loved to go fishing and hunting. Rufus is survived by his wife Hattie Fay Conner Gross, son and daughter-in-law Kenton Lee Gross and Sharon, daughters and sons-in-law Linda Stolz and James, and Barbara Gross and Chris and 7 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, 2 sisters, 1 step-sister, mother-in-law Minnie Conner and father-in-law Otice Conner. Funeral service for Rufus Franklin Gross will be held Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel, with Pastor John Harris officiating. The family will receive friends and relatives Monday, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Memorials may be directed to American Diabetes Assoc., 1701 N.
