Ruth Loesch

Ruth Elaine Loesch, 90, of Brenham, TX passed away peacefully at home on July 13, 2022.  Ruth was born on January 1, 1931 in Brenham to William and Emilie Moench.  She was baptized on April 19, 1931, confirmed on October 17, 1943 and on July 15, 1950 she married Leroy Loesch all at Zion Lutheran Church of Zionsville.

Ruth was currently a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Brenham.  Her faith was a very important part of her life.

Ruth was a homemaker and a great cook and baker.  She made the best meringue pies, homemade noodles and dill pickles around.  She loved to play straight domino.  She was a tireless supporter of veteran organizations.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ed and Bill Moench; sisters and brothers-in-law, Louise and Louis Struckmeyer and Alice and Reuben Roehling.

Ruth is survived by her husband, Leroy Loesch; son and daughter-in-law, Russell and Myrna Loesch of Round Rock, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Wayne Winkelmann of Brenham, TX. Grandchildren, Lauren and Michael Glasscock, Amy and Jason Supak, Megan and Nate Whalen and Eric Winkelmann; great-grandchildren, Marley Glasscock, Tyson and Lily Supak, Kynleigh Kidd and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.

The family would like to thank her caregivers – Linda, Erma, Gertrude, Helen, Bridgette and Cookie and  Hospice Brazos Valley – Truby, Courtney, Jeni and Brenda for their kindness, respect and compassion shown over the past year.

Visitation will be held from 7:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Sunday, July 17, 2022 at Memorial Oaks Chapel.
