Sallie Mae Moody, 94, peacefully passed away on November 7, 2024. Sallie was born on June 22, 1930 in Franklin, Texas to Rufus and Elvia James.
Sallie was a devoted wife and mother. She worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for 34 years before her retirement in 1985. Sallie was a faithful church member of the First Baptist Church in Brenham since 1951. She was a member of the Red Hat Club from 2000 through 2010. Sallie's hobbies included traveling, arts and crafts, painting portraits and landscapes, gardening and landscaping her own yard.
Sallie is survived by her loving daughter Phoebe Moody and her husband Gregory Isaacs. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Roy P. Moody, Jr., her son Roy P. Moody III, her siblings, Odell James (Elsie), RC James (Margarete), Wilford Louise James (Edna), Estelle Rabe (Tator) and Helen Koon (Larry).
A viewing for Sally will be held on Monday, November 11, 2024 from 10 am to 7pm at Memorial Oaks Chapel located at 1306 W. Main St. Brenham, Texas.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Sallies honor to Brenham Animal Shelter/Pet Adoption Services located at 1804 Longwood Drive, Brenham, Texas 77833. They can be reached at 979-337-7351.
