Samuel Hale

November 8, 1934 — February 10, 2022

Samuel Edward Hale, 87, of Webster, TX, died on February 10, 2022.

A celebration of life will be held from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., Sunday, March 6, 2022 at Harmonie Hall, located just west of the intersection of FM 389 and FM 1457 in Shelby (509 FM 389, Fayetteville, TX 78940).

Samuel was born on November 8, 1934 in Tomball, TX to Edward Samuel and Ruby Ola Still Hale. He married his high school sweetheart, Laverne Koehn, on July 17, 1955. They made their home in New Ulm for 20 years prior to moving to Brenham.  Early in his career, he was a teacher and coach for Spring Branch ISD. After he left teaching, he worked as a salesman in the pharmaceutical business. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard during the Korean War.

Samuel is survived by wife, Laverne Hale of Webster, TX; his son, Monte Alan Hale and wife Jessica of Fleetwood, NC; daughters and sons-in-law, Tanya Lynn Skarpa and husband Alan of Texas City, TX, and Holly Eve Perry and husband Don of Texas City, TX; grandchildren, Tiffany Aguilar and husband, Nathan, Brandon Mason and wife, Sarah, Sami Skarpa, and Cody Skarpa; and great-grandchildren, Addy Aguilar, Elly Aguilar, and Becker Mason.

He is preceded in death by his son, Keenan Wayne Hale; parents; parents-in-law; and two sisters.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main Street, Brenham, TX 77833.
