Sarah Marie Sally Bridie, 77 the widow of Jack Bridie, died November 1, 2008 in St Joseph Health Care in Bryan Texas. Sally was born in Houston, Texas on November 2, 1930 to Hugo and Iva Brown Meyer. Sally was a homemaker and a former Mayor of Carmine. She was a member of Martin Luther Lutheran Church of Carmine, the Carmine Volunteer Fire Department, Municipal Judge of Burton and a member of WLCA. Survivors include sons and daughter-in-laws Patrick and Linda Hart of Danville. Ca., Dennis and Carolyn Hart of Church Point. La. Step-sons: Ralph and Joyce Bridie of Magnolia, and Mark and Tammy Bridie of Houston. Daughter and son-in-law Martha and Skip Mansfield of Huntsville. Six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and numerous step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband Jack Bridie, parents, a son and daughter-in-law Michael Hart and Rose Hart, granddaughter Jerri Greene and a grandson. Funeral services for Sally Bridie will be held Monday 2:00 p.m. November 3, 2008 at Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Carmine with Pastor John David Nedbalek officiating. Burial will follow in the Carmine Cemetery. A visitation with the family and friends will be held at Foehner Funeral Home Sunday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be the members of the Carmine Volunteer Fire Department. Memorials may be given to Martin Luther Lutheran Church or the Carmine Volunteer Fire Department. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Foehner Funeral Home of Burton, Texas
