Scott Wayne Wright, 34, of Brenham, died October 13, 2004 at his residence. Scott was born February 26, 1970 in Birmingham, Alabama to Robert W. & Ruth Ann Moore Wright. He is a 1988 graduate of Kingwood High School, a graduate of the University of Houston with a Bachelor s Degree in Psychology, and a Master s Degree in Christian Education from Dallas Theological Seminary. He currently worked for Murphy Oil in Brenham as the Assistant Manager. Scott had a passion for Christ and people. He was a loving and devoted father to his three sons. He dedicated his life to youth ministry in college, serving as an intern youth pastor at Kingwood Community Church. After graduating from Dallas Theological Seminary, Scott ministered to young and old as youth pastor for Community Baptist Church in Arvada, Colorado as well as Calvary Baptist Church in Brenham. His sweet spirit touched many lives and will be greatly missed. Survivors include his parents, Robert W. & Ruth Ann Wright of Kingwood, his sons, Luke Joshua Wright, Cole James Wright, and Zachary Scott Wright all of Brenham, sister, Kimberly Ann Wright of Lake Charles, Louisiana, aunts & uncles, Donna & Frank Brown of Valpariso, Indiana, Marilyn Causey of St. Louis, Missouri, Sharon & Charlie Guetersloh and Claude & Linda Wright all of Murphysboro, Illinois. Scott is preceded by his grandparents, Claude & Gladys Wright of Murphysboro, Illinois, and Howard & Mildred Moore of West Frankfort, Illinois, and uncle, Billie G. Wright of Murphysboro, Illinois. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, October 16th, at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham. The funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Craig officiating. A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 18th at Rosewood Memorial Park North, 22271 U.S. Hwy 59, in Porter. Pallbearers include Mike Cahill, John Troutner, Jerrell Williams, Jason Hess, Mark Gibson, and Chris Guetersloh. At the family s request, donations may be made to Autism Society of America, 7910 Woodmont Ave., Suite #300, Bethesda, MD 20814-3067, 301657-0881, ext. 127. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main St., Brenham, 979836-4564.
