Secilia Marie Hendrickson, 80, of Brenham, died August 23, 2005, in Trinity Medical Center in Brenham. Mrs. Hendrickson was born March 2, 1925, in Hallettsville, Texas, to William and Edna Bolten Schroeder. She was baptized and confirmed September 21, 1952, in Grace Lutheran Church in Brenham. On Aug. 12, 1950, she was married to Henry William Hendrickson, Jr. in Grace Lutheran Church in Brenham. Mrs. Hendrickson was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, VFW Post 7104 Auxiliary and American Legion Buddy Wright Post 48 Auxiliary. She was a homemaker. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Donald Hendrickson of Bellville, Henry W. and Marcy Hendrickson and Ricky and Paula Hendrickson, all of Brenham; daughters and sons-in-law, Marilyn and Adolph Schaefer, Jr. of Brenham, Gloria and Steve Shrock of Hempstead, Cheryl and Darrell Meier of Bellville, Margaret Reuter of Brenham and Rhonda and Tony Conner of Chappell Hill; grandchildren, Betty Brending, Steven and Stephanie Shrock, Shawn, Laura and Metri Hendrickson, Nicholas Vierus, Adrienne Meier, Kassie, Krissie and Jaylon Conner, Tiffany and Amber Reuter, Charly Ann and Hanna Hendrickson and Travis Medve; great-grandchildren, Jason and Justin Brending, Mackenzie Shrock and Ziek Hendrickson; brothers, Wm. Bill Schroeder of Waller and Elmer Schroeder of Houston; sisters, Olga Roeber of Hallettsville, Edna Pat Gerdes of Edna and Flora Wendt of Bellville. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Henry Hendrickson, Jr., on Aug. 3, 2002; three brothers; one sister; and one infant sister. The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27 in Grace Lutheran Church in Brenham with Rev. Matthew Jacobs and Rev. William Holzer officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26 in Memorial Oaks Chapel. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughters and great-granddaughter. Memorials may be given to Grace Lutheran Church or Hospice Brenham, 302 E. Blue Bell Rd., Brenham, TX 77833. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St., in Brenham.
