Sharon Ann Buddenberg Jasinski O’Malley, 73, of Brenham, TX, died on January 22, 2021 after a brief illness.

Sharon was born in Brenham, TX on October 15, 1947 to William Jake and Bernice Ahlhorn Buddenberg. She was baptized on December 21, 1947 by Pastor G.C. Senff and confirmed on May 7, 1961 by Pastor O.K. Oelke at St. James Lutheran Church of New Wehdem. On April 20, 1968 she married Dewayne “Schotts” Jasinski.

Sharon was a 1966 graduate of Brenham High School. After graduating from Blinn College in 1967, she went on to work at Brenham National Bank for 43 years, spending most of that time as an executive assistant to Tieman H. Dippel, Jr. She was a lifetime, active member of St. James Lutheran Church of New Wehdem, teaching Sunday school and confirmation classes for many years, as well as being a devoted member of the Hannah Circle. She was very dedicated to raising money for the American Cancer Society through the Relay for Life team, Getting a Hook on Cancer. Sharon loved taking her family on annual beach trips and loved watching baseball, especially when her grandchildren were playing. Sharon loved traveling, playing cards with her many loving friends, and spending time with her grandchildren, of whom she was so proud.

On July 31, 2018 Sharon married Tommy O’Malley in Bristow, OK. They enjoyed traveling together, especially their most cherished trip to Ireland.

She is survived by her husband, Tommy O’Malley of Brenham, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Larissa and Eric Olson of Brenham, TX; sons and daughters-in-law, Bradley and Amy Jasinski of Burton, TX, and Anthony and Erika Jasinski of Brenham, TX; sister, Sandy Teufel of Brenham, TX; sister and brother-in-law, Cindy and David Tharp of El Lago, TX; grandchildren, Jake and Shelby Olson, Briley and Della Jasinski, and Evan and Vivian Jasinski.

She was also blessed with a loving second family; step-son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth Patrick and Stephanie O’Malley of Tulsa, OK; step-daughters and sons-in-law, Jennifer Lynn and David Farley of Nowata, OK, and Elizabeth and Noah Sanco of Nowata, OK; step-grandchildren, Connor, Wesley, Aiden, and Nolan O’Malley, Sarah Farley, and Abigail and Sam Sanco.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewayne, parents, brothers Ronnie and Scott Buddenberg, parents-in-law, Frank and Billie Marie Jasinski, brother-in-law Odis Teufel, and niece Amy Teufel.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ryan Rodenbeck, Walt Hannath, Steven Koehne, David Tharp, Bobby Pieper, Kenny O’Malley, David Farley, and Noah Sanco.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Jake Olson, Briley Jasinski, Evan Jasinski, John Teufel, Carter Patrick, Kenneth and Myrna Foster, Wayne Stolz, Trey Schwartz, Jerry Morgan, the “Crazy 8s”, and the “Old Hearts”.

A visitation will be from 7:00am – 8:00pm, Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Memorial Oaks Chapel, with the family present from 6:00pm – 7:30pm. A funeral service will be held at 10:00am, Thursday, January 28, 2021 at St. James Lutheran Church of New Wehdem, with Pastor Evan Cameron officiating. Burial will follow at the Church Cemetery. Because of limited seating in the church, the service will be broadcast on FM 98.7 on the church premises.

Contributions in her memory may be given to St. James Lutheran Church of New Wehdem.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main Street, Brenham, TX 77833.
