Shelley Addison

Shelley Riechers Addison, 61, of Brenham, Texas, passed away in Belmopan, Belize, on October 8, 2022. A Celebration of Life will be held at Grace Community Fellowship Church on Saturday, October 22nd at 10:00AM with Pastor Michael Tolopka, from Grace Commuity Fellowship Church, and Pastor Eric Dehmer, from Friedens Church of Washington, at 107 South Saeger Street, Brenham, Texas, 77833. A Visitation will be held on Friday, October 21st from 5:00-7:00PM at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham, Texas.

Shelley was born on January 9, 1961 to Ervin and Thekla “Babe” (Kolkhorst) Riechers. She is survived by her husband, Christopher Addison. Daughter and son-in-law, Samantha and Preston “Buddy” Northrup, IV, and grandson, Preston Gaines Northrup, V. Son and daughter-in-law, Nathan Addison and Brandy Addison and granddaughters, Naomi, Katherine and Ada Addison. Son and daughter-in-law, Joshua and Kristi Addison and granddaughters, Violet and Valery Addison and grandson, Vonn Addison. Son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Heather Addison and granddaughter, Sear Addison and grandson, Aiden Addison. Daughter, Kelley Addison and fiancé, Bertrand Tata and grandsons, Cameron Tata, Dash Archer, and Rhett Tata. Mother-in-law, Paula Weyel and Sister-in-law, Robin Addison.

Shelley had been an employee of the City of Brenham since October 27, 1988, and had recently been promoted to Utility Customer Service Supervisor. She married Chris, the light of her life, on January 19, 2013. She loved to garage sale to find the best deals on anything and everything. If it was summer time, you could find Chris and Shelley kayaking down the Colorado River or at the beach. Shelley loved people and never met a stranger.

Shelley was preceded in death by her parents and father-in-law, Harold Weyel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Grace Fellowship Community Church and Friedens Church of Washington.
