She loved people, crafting, music and most all things in life. Sherilyn Beth Dippel was born in Brenham on July 24, 1940 to Elizabeth and Melvin Dippel. She was christened at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, and she moved to Baytown at the age of seven with her family.
She grew up in Baytown, enjoying dancing and spending time with neighbors and family.
Her father passed away in 1961. Ten years later, her mother married Robert Hahn, and they returned to Brenham. Sherilyn returned to Brenham with her mother, and she lived with her mother until her mother’s death in 1985. At this time, her sister moved her to Pearland where Sherilyn learned to live independently in an apartment. She enjoyed having her first job at Burger King and being free and independent for the first time in her life.
In her older age, Sherilyn returned to Brenham to live at Kruse Village and then Focused Care. She made many friends and acquaintances during her life and will be sorely missed by them and her remaining family. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, her brother, Robert Kenneth Dippel, and her nephew, Jon Dippel.
