Shirley Ann Eldridge Ladewig, 66 of Brenham, died on October 11, 2013 in Scott and White Hospital in Brenham. Wife of Robert Ladewig.
Funeral services for Shirley are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 14, 2013 at Memorial Oaks Chapel, with Pastor Gary Kapylus officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. on Sunday evening at Memorial Oaks Chapel.
Shirley was born on March 18, 1947 to Dave Buck Fisher Eldridge Jr. and Jewel Mae Malkey Eldridge in Brenham. She attended Somerville Schools. Shirley was the President of the Ladies Auxiliary Berlin-Mill Creek-Zionsville Volunteer Fire Dept. Shirley loved her family and spending time gambling, hunting and fishing at their place at the coast.
Survivors include; husband Robert Ladewig, daughters; Shari Leiva of Brenham, and Kathy Rosenbaum and Fiancé Jose Duran; grandchildren; Blake Rosenbaum and Joseph Leiva all of Brenham. Brothers and sisters-in-law; Robert Milton Eldridge and Mo of Brenham, David Joe Eldridge and Sandra of Franklin, TX., Sisters and Brothers-in-law; Alice Lucille Robuck and Bobby of Spring, TX. Roy Lean Faust and Gilbert of Cameron, TX, Jarrell Dean Bates and David of Hearne, TX, Linda Louise Werner and Bob of Magnolia TX., brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Kenneth Ladewig and Kathy of Burton, Delbert Ladewig and Helen of Brenham, Gary Ladewig of Brenham, Ronnie Ladewig and Jennifer of Harper, Mary Kay Eldridge of Somerville, Karen Harmel and George of Gay Hill, Dena Janish and Kurt of Caldwell, Lori Weigelt and Timmy of Carmine, as well as numerous Nieces and Nephews, Aunts and Uncles.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; Dave Eldridge and Jewel Eldridge Kennedy, brothers; Larry and Donnie Eldridge, Sister Elaine Eldridge Brown, father-in-law Hilton Ladewig, mother-in-law Dorothy Ladewig, brother-in-law Vernon Ladewig, sister-in-law Vivian Ladewig.
Serving as pallbearers are Blake Rosenbaum, Joseph Leiva, Mark Klausmeyer, Rick Neyhard, Mike McAnally and Bryan McKee. Honorary Pallbearers are all Nephews and Nieces, Berlin- Mill Creek- Zionsville Fire Department and the Ladies Auxiliary.
