Shirley Swoboda

Shirley Ann Dannhaus Swoboda, 78, of Waller, Texas passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2023, in Houston, Texas. Visitation will be on Saturday April 29, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. with service following at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham, Texas. Burial will follow at Prairie Lea Cemetery.

Shirley was born on January 10, 1945, in Brenham, Texas to Melvin and Manola Papke Dannhaus.  She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Phillipsburg, Texas.  Shirley was preceded in death by her parents Melvin and Manola Dannhaus.

She worked as a Production Analysis in the Oil and Gas Industry for many years until retirement.  She loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, and horseback riding.  Shirley was a Lifetime Member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. She also rode with the Salt Grass Trail Ride and sponsored Wagon #12 as the Diamond L Riders.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Ronald Swoboda, son Scott Lehde, step-son Clinton Swoboda, step-daughter Tiffany Horsman, daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Gregg Goudy, brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Janet Dannhaus. Grandchildren Jacob Lehde, Cassie and Cole Rodgers, one step-grandson, Jaxon Davis. Great-granddaughter, Everleigh Lehde.

Serving as Pallbearers are Jacob Lehde, David Gwyn, Scott Moreau, Roy Mundy, Cody Dain, JT Mayo, and Trey Minor.
