Sondra Ruth Peake

Sondra Ruth Peake, 75 of Round Top, passed away April 7, 2025.

She was born December 3, 1949 in Houston, Texas to Buren and Vera Windham. She grew up in the Heights area of Houston, graduating from Reagan High School. She loved to crochet and made many blankets over the years. Sondra was also a great baker, her chocolate pecan pie being a favorite among her family. On May 23, 1993, she was married to Benjamin Franklin Peake, III.

Surviving relatives include her husband of 31 years, Benjamin Peake, III; sons and daughter-in-law: Darrin McNew, Benjamin Peake IV and his wife, Jill, William Peake; daughters: Holly McNew, Yvonne Garner; brother and sister-in-law: Bobby Windham and wife, Paula; sister and brother-in-law: Loretta Urban and husband, Andrew; and four grandchildren. She will also be missed by her two kitties: Precious and Bootsy.

Sondra is preceded by her parents, an infant twin sister and one granddaughter.

The graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 11, 2025 at Nassau Cemetery in Round Top.
