Stanley Flisowski, Sr.

Stanley Flisowski, Sr., 86, of Brenham, passed away February 17, 2008 in Kruse Village. Mr. Flisowski was born June 16, 1921 in Brenham to John and Josephine Gurka Flisowski. On October 27, 1942, he married Helen Lewandowski in Chappell Hill. She preceded him in death July 15, 2005. Mr. Flisowski served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion and V.F.W., and the Sons of Hermann. He was retired from Brentex Mills. Survivors include sons Stanley Flisowski, Jr. and wife Mildred and Albin Flisowski and wife Brenda, all of Brenham, and Johnnie Flisowski; grandchildren, Linda and Robert Hall, Lance and Leslie Flisowski, Lang and Sharon Flisowski, Kevin and Kelly Flisowski, Christy and Cal Goode, Trevor and Lori Flisowski, Trista and Jeff Geason, Treysen and Kristi Flisowski, Matthew and Amy Brayton, John Brayton and Dax Flisowski; 20 great-grandchildren; and sister, Martha Harrison. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; daughter, Dorothy Brayton; brothers, Wallace Flisowski, Alex Flisowski, and Edward Flisowski; sisters, Annie Hensen, Nancy Stegent and Janie Morrison. A wake service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Services for Stanley Flisowski, Sr. will be held Wednesday, February 20 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary''s Catholic Church of Brenham. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are grandsons: Matthew Brayton, John Brayton, Trevor Flisowski, Kevin Flisowski, Lance Flisowski, Lang Flisowski, Dax Flisowski and Treyson Flisowski. Honorary pallbearers will be Ernest Menn, and Elgin Klausmeyer. Memorials may be given to St. Mary''s Catholic Church. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W.
