Stanley Jozwiak

Stanley Walter Jozwiak, 75, died July 29, 2018 in Eagle Lake, Texas.

Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1 at Memorial Oaks Chapel, with a Rosary and funeral service to begin at 7:00 p.m. Deacon Al Prescott will officiate.

Stanley Jozwiak was born February 9, 1943 in Brenham to Frank Walter and Myrtle Mae Harding Jozwiak. He attended St. Mary’s Catholic School in Brenham. He was employed as a bus driver for Bellville I.S.D. for 22 years. Stanley also worked for Ripple Lumber Co. for over 30 years, as well as being a self-employed carpenter. He served his community as an umpire for area Little League games and other amateur league baseball games.

Hunting, fishing and watching baseball games were favorite pastimes. Stanley enjoyed playing dominoes at Ernie’s Quick Stop in New Ulm. He treasured time spent with his family.

Survivors include sons Darrell Jozwiak (Susan) of Katy, and Brad Jozwiak (Jo Ann) of Eagle Lake; daughter and son-in-law Stacy and Chris Hejl of Industry; sisters Barbara Haar of Brenham, Patricia Rinn of New Ulm, and Frances Mendoza of Somerville; sister-in-law Mary Jozwiak of Wesley; grandchildren: Destynie Brokmeyer Jozwiak, Sarah Jozwiak, Jacob Jozwiak, Morgan Ruiz, Hunter Hejl, and Gunnar Hejl. Also surviving is special friend, Evelyn Malota, and the mother of his children, Betty Jozwiak.

Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, Myrtle and Frank Jozwiak; brothers: Anthony Jozwiak, Charles Jozwiak; sister, Josephine Nance; brothers-in-law Charles Nance, Mike Mendoza, Alton Haar, Jerry Rinn, and a nephew, Keith Jozwiak.
