Stephen Russell

Stephen Wayne Russell, 65, of Round Top, died January 3, 2017 at his residence.

A Memorial Service to honor Stephen's life will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, January 15, 2017 at the Burton Roadhouse in Burton.

Stephen Wayne Russell was born May 12, 1951 in Alexandria, LA to Morris and Alma Iles Russell. He graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in mechanical engineering, and was employed by Enterprise Products, Inc. On May 29, 2010, he was married to Melissa Sherrill. Stephen was co-owner of Burton Roadhouse in Burton.

A lifetime lover of music, he played guitar and hosted house concerts to support various singers and songwriters. Reading, landscaping, and various building projects were favorite pastimes.
Survivors include his wife, Melissa Russell of Round Top; stepson Jacob Davis (Clarissa) of Centerton, AR; daughter Kelly (Andrew) Durdin of Ann Arbor, MI, and step-daughter, Joanna (Marissa) Clark of Ft. Irwin, CA; sisters Sandra (Larry) Wootan of Alexandra, LA, and Connie (Pat) Hassion of Boyce, LA.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Morris and Alma Russell, and a brother, Clayton Russell.
