Tammie Patterson

Tammie Deann Patterson, 59, of Brenham, passed away on March 25, 2017 at MD Anderson in Houston, Texas with family by her side after a year long battle with cancer.

Tammie was born in Wurzenberg, Germany on February 19, 1958 to Arthur and Helen (Swinford) Patterson. After living in Germany for a short time, her father was relocated to a couple of different U.S. Army bases and then they finally made their way to Indiana before he retired from the Army. Tammie graduated high school from Jefferson High School in Lafayette, Indiana in 1976. She then moved to Texas a couple of years after graduating high school. Tammie met the father of her daughters somewhere around the age of 30 and became pregnant with her first daughter. She had her first daughter at the age of 32 and her second daughter at the age of 34. They are her greatest accomplishments and she loved them very much.

After living in Pearland, Texas for many years she relocated to Brenham in 2005 and has been here ever since. She was employed at various locations around Brenham but finished out her career at Stanpac where she was very loved and enjoyed the people she worked with and worked for. Tammie was a very faithful member of Grace Community Fellowship and enjoyed the many groups she was involved in. She especially loved the trips she took with the church to Charis Canyon. Tammie loved nothing more than spending time with her many friends and family and she never met a stranger. Tammie was finally blessed with a grandson on August 29, 2016 and recently learned that she would have a granddaughter joining the family in August 2017.

Tammie was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Helen Patterson and numerous Aunts and Uncles. She is survived by a brother Dennis Patterson, an uncle Orel Sinclair, daughter & son-in-law Nicole & Cristopher Marek, daughter & boyfriend Christina Rhodes & George Alexander, grandsons Noah & Calder Marek, and a granddaughter to be, along with numerous nieces, great nieces, and great nephews.

Viewing services will be held Friday March 31, 2017 from 6:00-8:00pm at Memorial Oaks Chapel 1306 West Main Street Brenham, Texas 77833. Tammie will be cremated so a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday April 1, 2017 at 11:00am at Grace Community Fellowship 107 S Saeger Street Brenham, Texas 77833.
