Teddy Hinds, age, 83, of Brenham, Texas, passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2019.
Teddy was born on June 14, 1935, in Medina, Texas, to T.R. Hinds and Silva (Keese) Hinds. He married Dottie Englehardt on January 28, 1955, in San Antonio, Texas. They were blessed with three boys.
Teddy worked as a ranch manager for the Old Oaks Ranch, in William Penn, for over 50 years. He was a respected horse and cattle rancher, a professional calf roper, and enjoyed training and breeding horses. He was an outstanding judge of good bulls and well-built brood mares. Good confirmation was a must! On a Saturday or Sunday evening, Teddy could often be found barbecuing for his family.
Teddy was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.
Survivors include Dottie, his wife of 64 years; Jeff and wife, Julie, of Brenham; Brian of Brenham and friend Glenda Pierce of Washington; Ross and wife, Lynn, of Waller. Grandchildren are Jodie Hinds Koehl and husband, Heath, of Carmine; Joe and wife, Crystal, of Brenham. One step-grandson, Sloan Gatlin of Waller. Two great- granddaughters, Kinsley and Avery Koehl. One sister, Texas Woolls, of Wichita Falls, Texas. Numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 24, 2019, at 3 o’clock p.m., at the Cowboy Church of Brenham, 4420 Hwy. 105, Brenham, Texas, with Pastor Marty Mosher officiating.
The family would like to thank the staff and administrators at Focus Care, in Brenham, for their love and care of Teddy since November, 2018.
Arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oak Chapel, 1306 W. Main, Brenham, Texas.
