Thelma Doherty

Thelma Francis Doherty was born on February 25, 1918, to James and Nellie King in Massey, Texas in Hill County. She passed away at age 95 on May 17, 2013 in Brenham, Texas. She married Johnnie Doherty on December 11, 1938, in Hillsboro, Texas. A graveside service will be held on May 23, 2013, at the Woodbine Cemetery in Artesia, New Mexico with arrangements made by Terpening Funeral Home in Artesia. Thelma will join Johnnie in this, their final resting place. Thelma is survived by her two sons and their wives: Jerry and Shirley Doherty of Granbury, Texas and Larry and Joanne Doherty of Burton, Texas. Other survivors include four grandchildren: Greg Doherty of Edmond, Oklahoma, Megan Doherty, Kendra Palomo of Fort Worth, and Austin Doherty; three great-grandchildren: Aidan Doherty, Brennan Doherty and Connor Palomo; two sisters and one brother: Joyce Jenkins of Hereford, Texas, Ava Nell O''Farrell, and Doyle King of Brenham.
