Thomas Frank Cloud, Jr., 95, of Chappell Hill, died Feb. 5, 2007, in College Station Medical Center. Mr. Cloud was born Sept. 10, 1911, in Rogers, Texas, to Thomas Frank Sr. and Mollie C. Frazier Cloud. He was a graduate of Southwest Texas State University and received his PhD from the University of Houston. On Aug. 9, 1931, he was married to Leatha Mae Hester in Bell County, Texas. He was a teacher and school administrator for 51 years. Mr. Cloud was a direct descendant of Jeremiah and Elizabeth Cloud of Austin County, 1837 Republic of Texas. He was a member of the Sons of the Republic of Texas, Scottish Rite, Shriners, Woodmen of the World, TSTA and School Administration Association. Mr. Cloud was a Master Mason for 67 years, a past member of the Lions Club and a member of the Methodist Church since 1954. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Leonard and Barbara Cloud of Chappell Hill; daughter-in-law, Jean Cloud of Huntsville; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Thomas Frank Cloud, III; three brothers; and one sister. A Masonic graveside service under the auspices of Graham Lodge #20 AF & AM will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9 at Memorial Oaks Cemetery in Houston. Pallbearers will be Byron L. Cloud, David F. Cloud, Jay D. Cloud, Travis J. Cloud, Jeff W. Cloud and Joel B. Cloud.
