Thomas Kenjura

Theodore Stanley Ted Kenjura, 85, of Brenham, died April 11, 2006, at his residence. Mr. Kenjura was born March 21, 1921, in Brenham, to Steve and Mary Washerlesky Kenjura. He was baptized and confirmed in St. Mary s Catholic Church in Brenham and was educated at St. Mary s School. Mr. Kenjura served in the U.S. Army 622 Ordinance Ammunition Company during World War II Pacific Theater. On June 6, 1948, he was married to Pearl Przyborski in St. Mary s Catholic Church in Brenham. Mr. Kenjura was a route salesman for Hostess. He was a member of St. Mary s Catholic Church of Brenham and the Citizens on Patrol. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Dennis Kunetka of Houston; one granddaughter, Tiffany Kunetka of Austin; a special friend, Bernadette Kamprath of Brenham; brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Mary Lou Kenjura of Brenham; sister, Annie Iles of Brenham; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Alma Kenjura of Brenham, Barbara Przyborski of Schulenburg, Rosalee Przyborski of Brenham, Barbara Gardner of Houston, Gertrude Nowak of Houston and Steve and Elizabeth Przyborski of Caldwell; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl Kenjura; brothers, Eddie, Bennie and Charlie; and sisters, Nellie Angelina, Albina, Clara and Mary. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 12 with a wake service at 7:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Thursday, April 13 in St. Mary s Catholic Church in Brenham. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Brenham. Pallbearers will be Atwood Kenjura, Darrell Murski, Rodney Kenjura, Randy Duke, Thomas Murski and John Krampota. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Citizens on Patrol. Memorials may be given to St. Mary s Catholic Church or Hospice. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St., in Brenham.
