Thomas Presley

Thomas J. Presley, 70, of Brenham, died Oct. 25, 2002, at his residence. Mr. Presley was born Oct. 2, 1932, in Dallas, TX, to Thomas S. and Londa Usener Presley. He was baptized in Austin, TX. Mr. Presley served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. On June 17, 1953, he married Lucille Schroeder in Brenham. Mr. Presley was a self-employed sales representative. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Brenham, the Masonic Lodge in Brenham, the Shriners and the Amateur Radio Club. Survivors include his wife, Lucille Presley of Brenham; numerous cousins; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Leroy and Gladys Schroeder, Gertrude and Gilbert Schroeder, Marge Runge and Gladys Fay Schroeder, all of Brenham; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas S. and Londa Presley; brother, Willard S. Presley; and brother-in-law, Arthur Schroeder, Jr.. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, Oct. 28 in First United Methodist Church in Brenham. Burial will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham. Pallbearers will be Troy Schroeder, Tom Anderson, Norman Palmer, Ishmael Soto, Eddie Beyer, George Dill and Charlie Bergstrom. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to a charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St., in Brenham.
