Timothy Wayne Wilson, 65, of Brenham, TX, died on May 9, 2020 in Cypress, TX.
Visitation will be from 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at Memorial Oaks Chapel with a prayer service following at 7:00 p.m., with Pastor Tim Webb officiating.
Mr. Wilson was born in Hattiesburg, MS on December 11, 1954 to John Samuel and Betty Irene (Bronson) Wilson. He married Wanda Gail Pate on June 1, 1974.
Tim began his career working at International Paper Company in Bastrop, LA. In 1984, he moved his family to Texas to pursue his dream of training cutting horses. Tim spent many hours in the show arena, and turning back for his buddies, but the highlight of his cutting horse career was making it to the NCHA finals in Fort Worth. His newest venture led him to manufacturing and distributing feral hog traps throughout the southern United States. He was a member of the NCHA, BBCHA, AQHA, ACHA, ASTCHA, and BCHA.
Tim enjoyed spending time outdoors with his family and friends around a good fire. Most importantly, he was a great husband, father, pawpaw, and a friend to many.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Wilson of Brenham, TX; daughters and sons-in-law, Melinda and her husband Luke Fuchs of Burton, TX, and Stephanie and her husband Jeremy Rosenbaum of Burton, TX; daughter-in-law, Celine Wilson; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and her husband Paul Satchell of Bunker Hill, KS; grandchildren, Haley and her husband Ryan Hargrove, Allison Rosenbaum and her fiancé Shawn Weiss, Ryan Rosenbaum, Caleb and Cassidy Fuchs, and Rhys Wilson; and great-grandchild, Carter Hargrove; sisters-in-law, Kay Lancaster, Tammy and her husband Tommy Odom, Sharon Joyner, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Justin Wilson; mom, Betty Henderson; step-dad, Lawrence Henderson; sister, Rosemary Bostick; brother, John Wilson; dad, John Wilson, and father-in-law, James Alford.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main Street, Brenham, TX 77833.
