Tonja Jean Morgan, 45, of Brenham, departed this life to be with her Lord and Savior on Aug. 19, 2006, in Brenham. Tonja was born Oct. 8, 1960, in Austin, Texas. She was a devoted and loving wife and mother to her husband, Scott, and son, Charles Bree. Tonja had a beautiful smile which she shared with those around her and had a special way of expressing her feelings to the people she cared about. She was a member of Country Bible Church, near Brenham and was a commercial electrician. Survivors include her husband, Michael Scott Morgan of Brenham; son, Charles Bree Morgan of Brenham; son, Michael Anthony Woten of Indiana; stepson, Aron of Brenham; grandson, Caiden Woten of Indiana; mother, Frances Goodin of Kyle; sister, Teresa Murley of Cedar Creek; brothers, Sean Andrew Woodward and Charles Edward Woodward; father-in-law, Charles E. Morgan and wife Mary of Brenham; mother-in-law, Gloria Morgan of Texarkana; and numerous aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Birdie Mae Martinetts and grandfather, Ben Burt Martinetts. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, Aug. 22 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. A memorial service will be Tuesday, Aug. 22 at 3:30 p.m. at Country Bible Church, 3150 Wm. B. Travis Lane, Brenham, with Pastor Mike Smith officiating. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, Aug. 23 at 11:00 a.m. at Miller Creek Cemetery in Johnson City. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be contributed to an education fund being set up for Charles Bree Morgan.
