Travis Weiss

Travis Austin Weiss, 34, died September 23, 2012 in Austin, TX. Travis was born April 7, 1978 in Houston, TX to Donald and Karen Cook Weiss. He was a musician and bass player for Austin bands Duke and Broken Teeth. Travis is survived by his parents, Donald and Karen Weiss; his fiancé, Shereen Lumabao; brother & sister-in-law, Corey and Lisa Weiss; niece, Cara Elise Flores Weiss, grandmother Hazel Cook; and many other relatives and friends. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Menehune; and cherished cats, Calypso and Juju. Throughout the musical career he loved, Travis played in many bands including: FlipSide Den, American Idles, WT Special, Doom, Crashed, Trashcan Baptism, Plan 69, Hot Rod Hillbillies, and The Inconvenienced. Travis also enjoyed traveling, working on cars and was a food enthusiast. A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Memorial Oaks Chapel with Rev. Donald Cook, officiant.
