Valgene Ziesemer

Valgene "Redd" Ziesemer, 74, of Cedar Creek, Texas, died Nov. 22, 2011, in Luling, Texas. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 26 at 10:00 a.m. in St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill with Pastor David Hansen officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive visitors at Memorial Oaks Chapel Friday, Nov. 25 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Mr. Ziesemer was born May 4, 1937 in the Prairie Hill community, Washington County, Texas, to Johnnie and Lydia Draehn Ziesemer. He served in the Army and was a welder. Survivors include his son, Steven Ziesemer of Brenham; daughter and son-in-law, Hattie and Kevin Lott of Brenham; grandchildren, Nakendra Lott and Steven Ziesemer Jr.; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Ruth Ziesemer of Brenham; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and a son. Mr. Ziesemer''s nieces and nephews will serve as pallbearers. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W.
