Vernita Lehmann

Vernita Dora Lehmann, 89, of Brenham, died July 12, 2007, at Bluebonnet Hills Care Center in Brenham. Miss Lehmann was born February 4, 1918, in the Salem community of Washington County, Texas, to Herman A. and Meta Schawe Lehmann. She was baptized April 21, 1918 in Salem Lutheran Church of Salem by Rev. Mgebroff and was confirmed March 20, 1932, in the same church by Rev. Utesch. Miss Lehmann was a licensed vocational nurse. She is survived by her nephew, Kenneth Lehmann and wife Betty of Brenham and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother and sister-in-law, Herman and Bessie Lehmann; and three sisters, Irene Lehmann, Meta Lehmann and Helen Lehmann. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 15 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 16 at Salem Lutheran Church of Salem with Pastor Charles Parnell and Pastor Lydia Patterson officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham. Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be given to Salem Lutheran Church of Salem or Hospice - Brenham.
