Vernon Lehde

Vernon Ray Lehde, 81, of Jersey Village, TX passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2022.

Visitation will be 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Thursday, July 14, 2022 at Memorial Oaks Chapel with the family present from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.  The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 15,2022 at Memorial Oaks Chapel with Pastor Phil Fenton officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Lea Cemetery.

Vernon was born on November 6, 1940 to Berthold and Erna (Kelm) Lehde.  He was baptized, confirmed and was married at the Zion Lutheran Church of Zionsville. On June 26, 1965 he married JoAnn Renz.

He was in the National Guard where he was called up in the Berlin Crisis and served a year in Louisiana. He worked for Rainbo Bakery for 28 years and later for Jake’s Finer Foods for 16 years. He loved going to his farm in Lexington (Blue, Texas).

He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Lehde; sister, Elaine Lorenz; brother, Billy Lehde; brothers and sister-in-law, Bobby and Barbara Lehde, Gary and Linda Lehde. Sister-in-law, Sharon Collins; brother-in-law, Tim Maass and Linda.  Also, numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Mervin Lehde; sister-in-law, Gloria Lehde; mother and father-in law, Louis and Rosa Lee Maass; brother-in-law, James Collins and niece, Carol Sue Lorenz.

Pallbearers are Donald Lehde, Jeff Lehde, Bobby Ballard, Cody Schulze, Colton Maass, and Charles Dahmann.

Honorary Pallbearers are Jason Kasmiersky, Ray Wehmeyer, Scott Lehde, Mark Lehde, Craig Lehde, Lance Lehde, Tracy Lehde, Justin Bilski and Michael Lorenze.
