Vickie Ann “Schultz” Garner, 60 years of age, and the wife of James A. “Jim” Garner, passed to her heavenly home on March 26, 2023.
Vickie was born in Sacramento, CA and adopted at the age of eight by Walldon Schultz and Viola Beckermann Schultz of Brenham. Vickie was baptized and confirmed at the Zion Lutheran Church of Zionsville. Jim and Vickie were married August 31, 1996 at Zion Lutheran Church of Zionsville.
Vickie is survived by her husband, James “Jim” Garner; grandchildren, Dyllin Harrison, Paityn Harrison, Weston Jordan and Annabeth Graves; brother Bobby Ratliff (Shannon) of Huntsville, Alabama; aunts, Ruth Lorenz-Ganske, Elvera Drews, Joann Beckermann and Esther Schultz, along with many cousins, great cousins, great-great cousins, and many friends and neighbors.
Vickie was preceded in death by her biological and adopted parents; her stepfather Herman Weiss; and her son, Luke Harrison.
Vickie was a great lover of all animals and a great seamstress.
Visitation with the family will be held from 5:00 pm-8:00 pm Thursday, March 30, 2023 at Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main Street, Brenham, Texas. At Vickie’s request, she will be cremated and laid to rest at the Zionsville Lutheran Cemetery with her son Luke. Jim and Dyllin will plan a joined celebration of life for both at a later date.
The family asked that you make donations to Brenham Animal Services, 1804 Longwood Dr, Brenham, Texas 77833, or contribute to the charity of your choice in Vickie’s name. This may be done in lieu of flowers.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main Street, Brenham, TX 77833.
