Victor Valerian Bilski, 72, of Chappell Hill, Texas, died June 7, 2004, in Katy Memorial Hospital in Katy. Mr. Bilski was born Nov. 12, 1931, in Chappell Hill, Washington County, Texas, to Joseph and Mary Cegielski Bilski. He was baptized and confirmed in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Chappell Hill and attended Wonder Hill School. Mr. Bilski served in the U.S. Army in Japan from March 1953 to March 1955. On April 15, 1995, he married Gertrude Springer in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Chappell Hill. Mr. Bilski was a life-long member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Chappell Hill, a charter member of the Knights of Columbus Council 11277, and a retired machinist for H&H Machine Works. Survivors include his brother and sister-in-law, Florian and Ann Bilski of Brenham; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Albina and Andrew Macejewski of Houston, Bibian and Robert Konieczny of Sealy and Mary and Woodrow Pool of Beaumont as well as a number of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Gertrude Bilski, on March 24, 2003. A parish rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., followed by a Knights of Columbus rosary, Wednesday, June 9 in Memorial Oaks Chapel. The funeral Mass will be offered at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 10, in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Chappell Hill with Father Gene Shepard, celebrant. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorials may be given to St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Chappell Hill. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St. in Brenham.
