Victor L. Fair, Sr., 82, of Brenham, died Feb. 7, 2006, at his residence. Mr. Fair was born Nov. 21, 1923, in Weatherford, Parker County, Texas, to Albert William and Bessie Lou Crow Fair. He was a graduate of Weatherford High School and served in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers during World War II. On Feb. 3, 1944, he was married to Etta Christine Hall in Cleburne, Johnson County, Texas. Mr. Fair was a retired district manager for a wholesale pharmaceutical company. He was a member of the Presbyterian church. Mr. Fair was also a Mason and enjoyed gardening and politics. Survivors include his wife, Christine Fair of Brenham; son and daughter-in-law, Victor Jr. and Jeanette Fair of New Ulm; sister-in-law, Elza Mae Fair of Weatherford; and granddaughter, Erika Fair Restivo and husband Alan. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, William Lester Fair and Lloyd Clifford Fair. The graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10 at New Ulm Cemetery in New Ulm. Memorials may be given to the American Lung Association or the Bellville Hospital Foundation, P.O. Box 977, Bellville, TX 77418. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St., in Brenham.
