Victor Kubeczka

Victor P. Kubeczka, 84, of the Wesley Community, died May 5, 2015 at Scott and White Hospital in Brenham. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 9, 2015 at St. Mary''s Catholic Church in Brenham. Msgr. Benedict Zientek will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday evening, May 8, 2015 at Memorial Oaks Chapel, with a Rosary at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Victor Kubeczka was born July 28, 1930 in Chappell Hill to William and Pearl "Peggy" Wozniak Kubeczka. He was employed as a shipping clerk for the L.T.V. Company until his retirement. A member of St. Mary''s Catholic Church of Brenham, he was also an active member of SPJST. He loved to check on his cattle, and enjoyed being on his tractor. Gardening and fishing were favorite pastimes. Victor treasured his family, and was especially fond of cheering for his grandchildren at various Little League and high school sports activities. He also loved to go out dancing and visiting with family. He was proud of his Polish heritage, listening to Polish music, and teaching the language to his children and grand-children. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law Darby and Kelly Kubeczka, and Darrell and Cynthia Kubeczka, all of Wesley; grandchildren: Courtney and David Dudenhoeffer, Kristen Kubeczka and Justin Chastain, Paul Kubeczka, Kevin Kubeczka, and Chris Kubeczka; great-grandchildren: Steven, Adalea, Harlea, Kinslea, Lillea Dudenhoeffer, and Raelee, Kyra, Hazel Chastain; sister-in-law Pauline Kubeczka of Richmond; sisters Valeria Cegelski, Caroline Holub, and Blanche Twardowski. Victor was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Alexander Kubeczka, granddaughter Renee Kubeczka, his parents, and several brothers and sisters. Serving as pallbearers are: Paul Kubeczka, Kevin Kubeczka, Chris Kubeczka, David Dubenhoeffer, George Luchak, and Randy Holub. Memorials may be directed to St. Mary''s Catholic Church of Brenham.
