Mr. Vinh Van Duong, 82, of Houston died on the morning of Tuesday, May 10, 2005 in Houston. Mr. Duong was born in Viet Nam on October 2, 1922. He and Cuc Tran were married in Qui Nhon, Viet Nam. He was the maitre d of a Houston restaurant. Survivors include his wife, Cuc Tran, of Houston; his son and daughter-in-law: Loc Duong & Duy-Anh, their children: Jacqueline Phuong and Michelle, and their grandchild, Jasmine, all of whom live in Australia. A son-in-law and daughter in Canada also survive: Dong Lam & Kim Lan and their children, Linh and Van. Another son and daughter-in-law survive: Dung Duong & Hong Nga, and their son, Steven, all live in the United States of America. Other survivors include his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. & Mrs. Vinh Van Duong of California and Mr. Ly Nguyen of Brenham. Visitation will begin in Memorial Oaks Chapel on Wednesday, May 11, 2005 at 8:00 a.m. The family will conduct funeral rites at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2005 in Memorial Oaks Chapel. Burial will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Memorial Oaks Chapel; 1306 W. Main St.; Brenham, Texas.
