Viola Goetz

Viola Lehrmann Goetz, 81, of Brenham, died Saturday, May 26, 2007, at Kruse Memorial Lutheran Village in Brenham. Mrs. Goetz was born November 19, 1925, in the Prairie Hill Community, Washington County, Texas, to William and Mary Enax Lehrmann. She was baptized and confirmed in St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill. Mrs. Goetz graduated from Brenham High School and attended Southwestern Business College and the University of Houston. On March 30, 1947, she was married to Otto L. Goetz in St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill. Mrs. Goetz was a homemaker and a life long member of St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill. Survivors include her son, Troy A. Goetz and sister-in-law, Lavern Lehrmann, all of Brenham. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. Mrs. Goetz was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother, Leroy Lehrmann. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, May 28 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. The funeral service for Viola Lehrmann Goetz will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 29 at St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Royce Lehrmann, Hollis Lehrmann, Raymond R. Darilek, Albert Butch Darilek, Allen Darilek and Tim Lightfoot. All other nieces and nephews are considered Honorary Pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main St., in Brenham.
