Viola Wittner

Viola Wittner, 76, wife of Roland Wittner, died November 30, 2018 in Brenham.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 2, 2018 at St. James Lutheran Church of New Wehdem, with burial in Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery in Industry at 4:30 p.m. Rev. Evan Cameron will officiate.

Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Oaks Chapel.

Viola Wittner was born November 11, 1942 in Bellville to Erwin and Hilma Nelius Kaase. She was married to Roland Wittner on April 5, 1964 in St. James Lutheran Church of New Wehdem, where she remained a faithful member until her death.

Viola worked for Brenham Independent School District and as office manager for Wittner Plumbing Co. in Brenham. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Roland Wittner; sons and daughters-in-law Rodney and Lori Wittner of Brenham, and Ronnie and Janae Wittner of Industry; brother and sister-in-law Lloyd and Gayle Kaase of Bellville; grandchildren: Katelyn and Kathryn Wittner, and Dauson and Aunnika Wittner.

Mrs. Wittner was preceded in death by her parents, Erwin and Hilma Kaase; parents-in-law, Roy and Elda Wittner, and her sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Henry Marburger.

Serving as pallbearers are James Mahlmann, Pete Gutierrez, Dauson Wittner, Fidel Trevino, Delano Klausmeyer, and Erwin Emshoff.

Memorials may be directed to St. James Lutheran Church of New Wehdem or to any favorite charity.
