Virginia Pearl Richardson Armstrong, 90, died April 14, 2012. She resided in Burton since the 70''s, then back to Houston and most recently to Friendswood, Texas. She was born May 21, 1921 in Falls City, Texas to Frank & Virginia Ruth Kowski Richardson. Mrs. Armstrong was a homemaker. She married Bill Armstrong on March 10, 1940 in New Gulf, Texas. Survivors include her son & Daughter-in-law: F. Richard Armstrong and wife, Madeline of Houston; daughters: Virginia Ann Golden of Houston, Carolyn Jean Armstrong of Friendswood and her bonus daughter, Pandy Freestone of Friendswood; brother: Clay Richardson of Wharton; grandchildren: Michael Armstrong, Gregory Armstrong, Jim Harris, Teresa Benefiel, Teressa Harris, Nathan Golden, April Armstrong, Raymond Armstrong; great-grandchildren: Amber, Little Greg, Kyle, Bryce, Jessie, Ava Madison, Ashley, Chris and Kristina; great-great-grandchildren: Jordan Grace, Kia, Christian and Elizabeth. She is preceded in death by her husband: Bill Armstrong; her son Billy Armstrong; her parents and one brother, Raymond Richardson. The funeral service will be 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at First Baptist Church in Burton, 920 Colorado Street. Rev. Roger Patterson will officiate. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will begin 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church until service time. Serving as pall bearers will be her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
