Virginia Loredo

Virginia Loredo of Brenham, 70 years young, gained her wings on Dec. 6, 2017.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Monday, December 11, 2017 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, with Father Ernesto Elizondo, Officiant. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Oaks Chapel, with a Rosary at 7 p.m.

Virginia Loredo was born in Saginaw, Michigan on Sept. 16, 1947 to Andrew Tinajera and Maria Valencia. She was employed as a Sales Associate at Walmart. Virginia was a loving, devoted mother, and a phenomenal grandmother. Her love for her family was unconditional. She fought an extensive health battle which became too much to withstand. She will remain in our hearts forever. Her family will remember her as a selfless person who would help anyone in need.

Survivors include a son, Steve Galaviz; daughters Maria Alcaraz, Mary Hope Chavarria, Virginia Gomez and husband Luis, all of Brenham, and Geneva Rodriguez of Lubbock; sister, Rita Gallego of Buena Vista, Colorado; grandchildren: Jessica Hernandez, Jasmin Galaviz, Josiah Galaviz, Ashley Galaviz, Abigail Padilla, Becky Balon, Angelica Gamboa, Ramon Galaviz, Amanda Dimas, Christopher Galaviz , Erica Cooper, Lilia Montes, Jessie Montes, Sarah Huerta, David Huerta, Irene Huerta, and Joe Huerta.

Also surviving are great-grandchildren Anenome, Silus, Ileana, Aiden, Addison, Liam, Sean, Mia, Ximena, Antonio, Emily, Sofia, Miguel Jr., Christopher Jr., Christa, Raiden, Maverick, Maddox, Elijah, Mireya, Mercedes, Madilyn, David, Tristan, Jaylyn, Nadia, Brooklyn, Donovan, James II, Jaida, Joe Marcus II, Emerie, and Emeris.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew Tinajera and Maria Valencia; a son, Joe Galaviz; great-grandchild, Alexis Hope Ramirez .

Serving as pallbearers are Steve Galaviz, Ramon Galaviz, Christopher Galaviz, Jesus Montes, Luis Gomez, Miguel Dimas, Pedro Balon, and Sean Cooper.
