Virginia Wagner

Virginia Rose Wagner, 78, of Brenham, died June 26, 2009, in St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan. Mrs. Wagner was born February 18, 1931, in Breckenridge, Texas, to Bernard Frank and Anna Marie Jarvis Kleinfelder. She graduated from Breckenridge High School in Breckenridge, Texas. She also graduated from Texas Woman''s University in Denton, Texas, where she earned a degree in Primary Education. She taught various grade levels for a number of years before becoming Head Mistress at Ascension Episcopal School in Houston, Texas from which she retired. On July 11, 1953, she was married to Oliver Wagner in Port Arthur. She is survived by her husband, Oliver Wagner; sisters, Bernadine Haynie, Charlotte Kleinfelder and Barbara Mollard; and various nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard Frank and Anna Marie Jarvis Kleinfelder; and daughters, Teresa Maria and Rebecca Ann Wagner. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 1 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Peter''s Episcopal Church in Brenham with Father David Ottsen officiating. Inurnment will be in the church columbarium.
